“I’d say 40% of the grownup courses consist of ladies. A number of ladies take boxing, power and health programs. It’s not an intimidating gymnasium for girls to hitch. The ladies assist one another, and so they type a group.
“The gymnasium itself is coming alongside. I’m being artistic in the way in which I’m designing and constructing it out. I had a UC Merced Artwork professor do a mural on one wall, and one other native artist do a mural on one other wall. Having art work within the gymnasium is my means of working along with native artists. The items are one-of-a-kind and so they stand out.”
