Amazon’s fall invite-only product launch this week predictably unveiled a brand new line of sensible residence and safety units (we’ll get to these in a minute). However the massive reveal was a $1,000 sensible robotic referred to as Astro, an Alexa assistant-meets-security-camera on wheels that may transfer all through the house to test in your family members, make calls, play music and extra. However with this bot’s characteristic units comes extra privacy concerns

Amazon says that Astro can have “out of sure zones” and the power to disable mics and audio system. All in all, Astro is simply one of the many ways bots are coming to life. We’ll inform you how one can preorder the sensible bot and when it’s going to ship (extra beneath).
