Bosch brings anti-lock braking and more security features to its ebike Smart System

The model claims anti-lock braking (ABS) might stop as much as 29 per cent of accidents involving electrical bikes, based mostly on research by Bosch Accident Analysis.

Bosch says its second-generation ebike ABS permits each brakes to interact concurrently with out the entrance wheel locking and the bike skidding.

A velocity sensor hooked up to the fork screens the velocity of the entrance wheel.

Bosch says it has decreased the scale and weight of the sensor by 77 per cent and 55 per cent respectively from the primary era.

The anti-lock entrance braking is claimed to robotically regulate the brake strain by completely monitoring wheel velocity.
