Six groups to certify the highway worthiness of round 900 automobiles owned by instructional establishments
The Transport Division on Saturday began inspection of automobiles owned by instructional establishments to certify their highway worthiness.
Led by Transport Commissioner A.S Sivakumar, the officers began inspection of the automobiles on the Truck Terminal in Mettuplayam. The inspection of buses and vans would proceed on Sunday.
Mr. Sivakumar mentioned the division had recognized 900 automobiles owned by varied instructional establishments for annual inspection. The division had fashioned six groups, comprising motor Car Inspectors and Assistant Motor Automobiles Inspectors to verify the automobiles, he mentioned.
