Kennett Greenway progress
“We’re making nice progress on the Greenway,” says Norland. “On the west aspect of Kennett, Kennett Township is within the means of finishing closing engineering on the Chandler Mill path between Hillendale Highway and Chandler Mill Bridge. This undertaking is slated for development in 2023. This path will allow Kennett residents to soundly stroll or bike down from Pennock Park to Brandywine Pink Clay Alliance’s Chandler Mill Nature Protect. As well as, the Township has obtained funding to construct a pedestrian and bike underpass below the railroad tracks at Pennock Park. This infrastructure is the vital hyperlink in extending the Greenway from Pennock Park to Mill and Cypress Streets within the Borough.”
