“For them, it was instantly apparent what the advantages had been and the way you solely pay for the 5 microseconds that this code runs, and any idle isn’t being charged to you,” Vogels stated. “And you do not have to fret about reliability and safety and multi-[availability zone] and all this stuff that then exit of the window. That was actually an eye-opener for me — this concept that we generally have in our head that form of the younger companies are extra technologically superior and shifting sooner. Clearly within the space of serverless, that was not the case.”
