Nutrition funds for poor kids diverted in Punjab from 2014 to 2017 : The Tribune India

Officers of the Division of Social Safety and Ladies & Youngster Improvement allegedly diverted funds of the Built-in Youngster Improvement Providers (ICDS), meant for dietary food plan of poor kids at anganwadi centres.

In a particular audit of 5 districts from 2014 to 2017, the Accountant Common (Audit) revealed that funds price crores had been diverted to buy low-quality meals containers at inflated charges. The 5 districts the place the funds of the Supplementary Diet Programme (SNP) had been diverted are Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Ropar and SBS Nagar.
