Nutrition in the Kitchen: Harvest Salad | WIVT

TOWN OF DICKINSON – And now it’s time for our collaboration with Cornell Cooperative Extension: Vitamin within the Kitchen.

This dish referred to as, Harvest Salad, contains a delicata squash, pomegranate seeds, feta cheese, and pumpkin seeds.

It’s being topped with a maple balsamic French dressing.

The French dressing consists of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, dijon mustard and salt and pepper.

Vitamin Educator, Tara Kenyon, says the featured merchandise on this dish, delicata squash has numerous vitamin A, Vitamin C and dietary fiber in it.

“One cup of delicata squash has about 500 mg of potassium, which is greater than your common banana and potassium is absolutely necessary for preserving your blood strain underneath management,” she stated.
