Final month, Mahsa Yavari, a doctoral pupil in Texas Tech University’s College of Human Sciences, gained the American Society for Diet’s (ASN) nationwide Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competitors for her research on the beneficial effects of fish oil in a humanized mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease.

Yavari’s summary scored within the high 15% of the 700 abstracts submitted to ASN by college students and postdoctoral fellows, and she or he was chosen as a finalist for the Rising Leaders in Diet Science Summary Recognition Award Program, which acknowledges the perfect analysis introduced by college students and younger investigators.
