Officers put their physical fitness to the test

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KELO) — Employees and potential hires on the Pennington County Sheriff’s Workplace are placing their bodily health to the check right now.

The Pennington County Sheriff’s Workplace requires a bodily health impediment course, the division believes this sort of coaching is important.

“One of many correctional officers informed us that in a median day, they get about 20-thousand steps in working. A part of that has to do with the power that we run. So they’re actively out shifting round, they aren’t sitting at a desk or behind a wall,” Tony Verchio, Coaching Supervisor, mentioned.
