The Meals and Diet Safety Committee within the Southern African Improvement Neighborhood (SADC) has agreed on frequent areas of concern that want regional coordination and focus with a purpose to enhance meals safety and diet within the Area.
The Committee, which convened a hybrid assembly in Johannesburg, South Africa, on twenty second – twenty third September 2022 to take inventory on Member States’ implementation of the Ministers Choices associated to meals and diet safety, agreed on the necessity to advocate for public financing for meals safety and diet to the Heads of State and Authorities by means of platforms such because the Africa Leaders for Diet (ALN).
