David Raim’s The Sky Is Falling delivered freshman stallion Cupid his first black-type winner when she rallied from mid-pack for a 1 1/2-length score in the $67,500 West Virginia Triple Crown Nutrition Breeders’ Classic Stakes Oct. 9 at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races.
The two-year-old filly educated by Jeff Runco defeated 9 rivals within the 6 1/2-furlong race. She was ridden to victory by Arnaldo Bocachica in a ultimate time of 1:22.22 on the quick monitor.
Bocachica gained eight stakes on the night program, Runco seven, and Raim 5.
