If to-do lists or agendas pop up, focus in in your breath. In case your thoughts continues to chatter and retains inviting you to the social gathering, exaggerate your breath.

Elongate your inhalations, and lengthen your exhalations. Start to focus and hint the pathways of the breath.

Tune your ear to the sounds round you. What do you hear? Close to? Within the distance?
