Professor Fernie leads the Every part to All people venture which options in a significant exhibition opening on 22 July on the Library of Birmingham as a part of the official Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Video games Cultural Programme. The venture revives, interrogates and seeks to replace George Dawson’s Nineteenth-century mission of building a ‘cultural commonwealth’ in Birmingham by constructing a very wealthy, multicultural Shakespeare library for all residents of the town.
