1.3. Budgets for diet

There are three diet schemes for girls and women: Supplementary Vitamin Programme (SNP) of Built-in Little one Growth Companies, Amrut Ahar Yojana, and Sabla scheme for adolescent women; and one intervention for constructing consciousness round diet, i.e., Poshan Abhiyaan. For offering meals to pregnant and lactating girls, an allocation of INR 252 crore was made in FY 2021–22 beneath SNP. This was a lot decrease than the allocations in FY 2020–21, and expenditures of INR 292 crore in FY 2019–20 and INR 258 crore in FY 2018–19 (Fig 3). That is regardless of the excessive utilisation price for SNP (84 % in FY 2019–20 and 100% in FY 2018–19).
