Share Vancouver strives to ensure children, others in need have access to food during summer

The federally funded program is designed to alleviate the financial and emotional pressure of eating during the summer. The program runs from June 20 to Aug. 12, and services 12 different locations in Clark County. The program is funded on a reimbursement system so that it can meet the needs of any and all students who want a meal.

“Summer season lunch is a tremendous program as a result of there’s no paperwork, you don’t must qualify for something,” stated Becci Learn-Ryan, starvation and vitamin packages supervisor with Share. “You’ll be able to simply present as much as any of our websites any day that works for you and get a meal.”
