R2-D2’s lasting impression is not simply relegated to the world of Star Wars — his likeness has made its manner into the actual world on many events. The droid was inducted into the Robotic Corridor of Fame in 2003, and an R2-D2 duplicate was made a fixture at the Carnegie Science Middle in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
