Waldorf Astoria Renovation and Partial Residential Conversion Progresses in Midtown East, Manhattan

On the time of our last update in March 2020, the vast majority of the outside was coated in scaffolding and development netting. A lot of this has since been eliminated, revealing the look of the restored façade on the northern elevation. Elements of the meeting stay, most notably over the 2 pinnacles and on the higher portion of the japanese face alongside Lexington Avenue.

Sidewalk scaffolding nonetheless wraps round all 4 sides, and the development elevators stay connected to the underside half of the western façade and in the course of the broader northern wall.
