A winning combination in Atwater — Merced County Times

“The self-discipline has a belt rating system.  To be a blue belt, it takes a 12 months of going to class day-after-day.  A blue belt understands the fundamentals and has practiced it sufficient for his or her coach or instructor to offer them a blue belt which is sort of like a cross on mastering sure strikes and having the ability to defend themselves correctly.

“All people begins with a white belt, then blue, purple, brown and black.  You go from one stage to the following by mastering sure strikes, and you then want to have the ability to educate.  It usually takes 10 years to turn out to be a black belt, and generally even longer.
