Select persimmons with a deep orange or red color. Any dark patches on the rind are usually innocuous, unless the pulp next to it is depressed or burst, which is a sign of rottenness.
In case you don’t like the stringy taste, make sure the persimmon is really mature before consuming it. A mature fruit is so soft that its flesh may even break through the rind.
8.Oysters
You can identify the freshness of oysters by their color and smell: they are usually plump, shiny, and have a tan color. In contrast, bad oysters look dried and murky and have a distinctly fishy odor.
